Re: hello!

I think the important consequence of putting away your phone is becoming bored. Bored is not an ideal state to be in, but it is the state you need to be in to come up with new ideas. When you are bored, your mind will wander for anything you could be up to. You will think about friends and ...

Re: Favorite Pens

I don't want to turn this into an argument thread, but I would like to disagree with my experience. It sounds like you were using cartridges, which I can see potentially getting messy, especially in the hands of children. I refill my pens from bottles, which, so long as you don't knock the bottle ...

Re: Finding New Music

I also don't make a regular habit of actively searching for new music, but I will take any opportunity to recommend Bandcamp. You need to have some idea of what sort of music you like to start looking, but there are some good artists on there, and anything you buy can be downloaded so you can put it ...

Yeah Cinzia is not exactly a tech expert, and there were a couple of things I disagreed with in this video, but overall it serves as another example for why you should take the time to make your own backup system.

Re: Browser comparison

The thing about Vanadium is that it isn't really a privacy-focused browser. It's a security-enhanced Chromium that only works properly on GrapheneOS (it relies on some underlying security enhancements in the OS for performance, so it is actually less secure than vanilla Chromium on any other OS).

Re: What would be a good alternative to an Email for Account Creation

I would amend your Accessibility criterion to be defined by a more important consideration: it's something everyone can have, whether or not they do already, without the approval of a third party. The important characteristic of email is not merely that it is well established and everyone is likely ...

A website dedicated to naming and categorizing bread bag clips

The Holotypic Occlupanid Research Group (HORG) is an online archive of the little (usually) plastic bread bag clips (occlupanids) found ubiquitously in supermarkets, written as though compiled and categorized by real zoologists studying a strange lifeform.

The website was first created in 1994 and ...
