Re: Backups
My backup routine is all over the place. I have several issues with it. I cannot automate it right now, and I have trouble doing off-site backups. I also have a MySQL database that might not be properly backed up, as you probably have to stop the database and do an export, to properly back it up ...

Re: Notion Deleted My Work. Why I'm Moving Away From the Cloud
I'd like to make a comprehensive backup solution. My backups are currently using Borg but I'm having issues automating it and making sure I have enough copies in the right places.

Bullet Journaling & Fountain Pens
Does anybody bullet journal? I've found adding an index and timeline to my journal has made it much more navigable, and allows me to add lots of stuff to it that I wouldn't otherwise. It's a good alternative to a laptop or phone for when I don't have power, and lets me use my fountain pen more ...

Wow.
This site will actually give me practice on pronouncing my Latin in English. I've been practicing the traditional English pronunciation of Latin as of late.

Re: Thoughts on the Punkt MP02?
I'm tempted to get one, if I weren't already invested in my SIP home phone! The interface is gorgeous. Physical buttons and clean (almost Zune-like) UI.
I see it supports Signal. Does it support XMPP? My primary messaging is XMPP.

Re: I no longer trust Firefox.
Yeah, relying on browsers to interact with services is a dangerous thing. We need to start making native apps to use services that can't be handled in simple browsers like Links. Web Outside Of Browsers, though its software uses immature names, may be a good starting point.

Re: Physical Media
Vinyl and DVDs. I like the huge artwork of vinyl, and the experience of spinning a record. DVDs are easy to play and provide enough quality for me.
That said, I actually don't own much physical media, except for religious texts that cannot practically be used in electronic form.

Re: Gemini Protocol
I'm hoping to get my site back on Gemini. Someone added Gemini support to my static site generator, so it should be trivial.
