Re: Installed Linux Mint… now what? (recommendations)
Why was it so difficult to install and Partition the System? Doesn't Mint offer a Partitioning Wizard in their Installer? or was there a different Issue?
It's not that it was difficult per se, it's just I needed to be absolutely 100% sure what I was doing when I did it ahaha ^u^;
It's a new 2TB ...

Re: Favourite quirky "feature" in a book?
I bought a hardback copy of Julia and the Shark a few years ago, purely because the illustrations looked gorgeous and I also have an original character with the same name.
What I did not expect was that some of the illustrations would be present on translucent pages! For example, early in the book ...

Q's Internet Trinkets :)
Hey all,
Figured I'd make a little thread to promote my massive list of Stuff I've collected, but I'd also like your help with pulling it away from where it's hosted. ;w;
My site, Q's Internet Trinkets, is full of 280 links of useful sites and tools and games that I like/make use of/recommend to ...

Re: I no longer trust Firefox.
I want to believe that Mozilla has the Best Intentions, and just a stupid leadership. But it is getting harder to belive that day by day.
Also something I forgot to Mentioned in my initial Post, they're Acceptable Use Policy . Guys and Gals and Non-Binary Pals, you can't watch your P***n or ...

Re: Ringtone and UI sound discussion
Tried to use Zedge with an old iPhone once... didn't work out :/
I used the "download your sound then put it into garageband then export to ringtone" method lol
I have a penchance for chiptune sounds and the old-school Nokia ringtones personally!
Espionage pops up in my head every now and then :lol:

ooooh that's a good point! I can imagine pairing that kind of navigation with SteamOS would be really good for navigating a Nintendo Switch-like setup at home with the Deck/similar consoles...SergioEduP wrote: Sun Mar 02, 2025 5:01 pm I could also see this be great for using with a game controller/joystick or maybe even in VR/XR

Re: James Lee switch to Linux
This was the video that finally pushed me to switch to Linux; I’d seen DankPods talk about Linux before and I’d also seen lots of Linux stuff from Bringus Studios (both great fun channels, love their stuff), but James’ way of promoting it and getting away from Adobe was the final nail in the coffin ...
