Re: What games help you destress or warm up your brain?

I think Picross (or Nonogram) games fit the bill for this perfectly. They’re simple logic puzzles that result in drawing a pixel art picture, and it’s both relaxing and immensely satisfying. Re: IMG_0001, or, the YouTube time capsule of small moments

I know, right? It’s just so fascinating, nostalgic, sweet to see these often insignificant moments of others’ lives that feels so real and authentic. I also love how there’s a views counter that’s frequently in the single or double digits. Nearly forgotten media, indeed!

President of Signal on creating a nonprofit, privacy-centered alternative to the data industry

I read a really thoughtful article this morning interviewing the current president of Signal, Meredith Whittaker. The interview covers her history and how she came stand for privacy as well as how her work at Signal is truly to invent a nonprofit model for an alternative tech industry that doesn't ...

Re: should i sell my gaming laptop?

Hey cibergotika!

I don’t know if anyone can say what you should do, but my first question would be “why?”
And my second question would be “what’s your goal for doing so?” If you have a working computer, why would you sell it to buy another, older computer? Devoid of any other context, that seems ...

Re: Introduce yourself!

Nice to meet you, @Linkard ! I did draw it myself, although I have to give credit to one of my 4th grade students who drew the original version back when I was teaching in Korea. It was so cute and simple, and I always really liked it, so I figured it’d make the perfect avatar
