Re: Art Share Thread

Haha, that's awesome! It's staring into my soul.. Glad to see more old Macintosh goodness.

Here's my latest, Seam the Seapkeeper (my favorite Deltarune character).

Re: This is my main playlist as of today

I gave the list a skim, and you've got a great mix in there. Plenty of 90s and early-Noughties stuff that I can appreciate, even a handful of great 70s-80s songs! I also got a few reminders of songs I have yet to get my hands on, so thanks for that.

Re: Art Share Thread

All right, sorry for two in a single day but I apparently got bit by the drawing bug and I'm really proud of this one. Vivi, from Final Fantasy IX (used a reference image, no way I could come up with all those details on my own): mac_vivi_fs.png I think using the 2pt line thickness works better than ...

Re: Art Share Thread

Trying to do at least one piece every day. Today's is Calvin's "Tracer Bullet" alter-ego, from Calvin & Hobbes. I just wholesale copycatted the reference image (which fans will no doubt recognize) I had next to me because I wanted to practice the neat light/shadow look it uses. mac_tracer_bullet_fs ...

Re: Art Share Thread

Glad you like it, I'm sure it won't be the last! I use an emulator called Mini vMac and I edited mine to have a 1024x768 resolution so I have more room to work with in MacDraw II, which is what I use for the actual drawing within the emulator. (Or occasionally, MacPaint for more freeform stuff.) If ...

Re: When privacy clashes with user experience

It's a step toward better privacy awareness, but I imagine it would get old pretty fast tapping those things every week. On the other hand, I feel like we've been convinced to accept the loss of much of our privacy (and privacy awareness) in the name of convenience. I think this could be preferable ...

Re: Art Share Thread

Looks great! I like the simple color palette. My firstborn was just telling me the other day how they like Gwenpool more than Deadpool. Here's one I just did that may look familiar: mac_reject_convenience_fs.png P.S. View it in a new window to see it full-sized and avoid the weird effect that ...

Re: Linkard's Humble Bundle Giveaway I

Thanks for doing this, Linkard! A Favorite Game : Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge. It's a LucasArts point-and-click adventure game that came out in 1991. Why It's A Favorite : I'll admit a big part of it is nostalgia. My older brother and I played this when we were still fairly young, and had a ...
