Since this forum is about websites, this is technically off topic, but I think it's close enough. The Gemini protocol is an alternative to HTTPS designed in the likeness of the much older Gopher. It supports simple text documents and direct file links (which some clients can embed but it should not be assumed). There is an active community of Gemini users who I believe have overlapping interests with this group, so you might want to check it out.
My preferred client is Lagrange.
