I've reduced my screen time on my phone to less than a hour however on my computer I noticed that my habits haven't changed too much. I still average 5 hours of screen time and most of it is not important/me wasting my time.
So far I have done these things: Set 1 hour timer on youtube and pc games, downloaded stayfree to track usage time.
What tips/advice can you guys offer that I can do thanks!

Re: How do reduce time spent on my computer
My trick has been focusing on my actual Time wasters on the PC first. Which was in my case YouTube. I started reducing my Watching habit, with tracking what I watch. But also disable YouTube on the browser, to solely rely on RSS and MPV/YT-DLP to watch my Videos. Which remove the Feed you can be caught in. After that, you could set a Timer, at least on Linux, to lock your Computer after a certain time. Acting as an annoyance as you have to unlock it every time.

Honestly, I just walk away. Take a nap, find something else to focus on. Really just being on the computer itself is not addicting, it's everything you can access through it. But, I find that if I stop using a site or service, I just end up replacing that time with something else. So instead, I walk away from the computer entirely. I'm still very bad at it, since it's most of my life and career, and how I interact with most people. But I can at least focus on what's important at home by walking away from it.
Also, leave your phone in another room too. Make it inconvenient to even touch.

Re: How do reduce time spent on my computer
Is there something else that you are trying to do more of? Are there particular things that you want to stop doing on the computer? The way I see it I don't want to reduce my computer time in an absolute sense, rather I want to make sure that I'm being intentional with what I am doing on the computer.
For example, if I am wasting time on YouTube, I don't want to manage away all of my computer use. I only want to focus on that problem. Or if there's another goal I want to pursue, I'll take steps toward that whether it's on the computer or not.
I guess being more specific with what you're trying to tackle could help.
But if you want to reduce computer time in general, I would find other things to fill your time that don't involve the PC. Plan to hang out with friends, play video games, go for run. Set your intention on something else rather than intending to not use the PC. Otherwise you're just left with a vacuum and no activity to fill it.

Go ahead and search for other hobbies.
I reduced my screentime with diamondpainting. Yes i know, it sounds weird, but it is really relaxing.
And there are a lot of other activities you can do as well.
I'm hitting the gym every friday now, and do my chores on the same day.
Or get an MP3 player, just any "nugget" will do. The internet archive has a lot of in store music for download if you need music, and bandcamp has a lot of niece artists you can support.
Listen to music without a screen
These are the things that reduced my screentime
