(Before anyone roasts me: Yes, I've done the whole vanilla arch from scratch thing, a good ten-ish years ago. I did it once, it was educational, I had a blast, I discovered Openbox that way out of necessity, I used it until that machine physically broke down and wouldn't turn on anymore, and I've never felt the need to do it again since.)
I, too, have done the install arch from scratch and I will not be doing it again. It was very educational, but I don't got time for that lol. I haven't heard of archcraft, I will have to check it out.

Lately I've been using regular Debian, it works really well on low spec machines and I love using it in servers. Recently I've been working with offline maps, tiles and directions API's to self host country-wide maps with navigation and directions, and oh man is it RAM/CPU intensive.

Every MB of RAM and CPU performance that I can get out of that machine is welcome.

This is why I love Linux + Blender. Windows takes up so much unnecessary RAM, so I get a lot more headroom just by using Blender with Linux. 4-5GB is a LOT when you're working with them pesky polygons!

Okay Garuda has wobbly windows on by default, so I have switched and will be trying it out for a couple weeks. I love wobbly windows.

I wish linux had all the cool window effects still like windows burning up when closing, and the wobbly stuff. Fun times.

I need to learn blender still.
