Firstly, welcome, @rejectsocietynorms! Also, I know it's a meme, but I had a realization the other day - why does arch have such a devout fanbase? It is more stable? Is it more customizable? Like what's the big catch? I'm really curious as I've never actually thought about it before.
Arch isn't really more stable as it is a rolling release distro, you're moreso on the edge when it comes to packages.
Customizability plays a big part because you basically start from a minimal distro when done with setting it up.
It's a huge meme cause it's not user-friendly to install and people like to flex the fact that they installed it which did contribute to growing a fanbase xd

I like to think that me using Linux at all is a flex, but the people around me don't give me credit for using Linux, so I need to one day install Arch to get the cool points from the Linux community. lol

I'm just here for stability haha Windows has been so unstable for me in the past, and so I used macOS. When Ventura hit, I looked towards linux, cause that was HOT GARBAGE. Now that Apple is blocking unsigned apps, I'm happy to be fully moving away from macOS. I was editing in Final Cut Pro, but the new video (that will be up soon) was entirely done in Blender!

Open source software for the win! You're free now (in your workflow, hopefully). Blender is such an awesome success story of an open source tool that has become popular in the industry its meant for. In so doing, it protects its artists from future exploitation by a company! I hope it continues working for you.
