I wanted to Ask everyone here that has a Home Lab or Hosts anything on their own, what Cool Software you discovered for the Web.

I discover for example recently a really cool Privacy Preserving Web Analytics Platform called GoAccess, which creates a static HTML or gives a TUI output, to give an analytical overview of who connected to your Server.
The Coolest part of it is that it is Privacy Preserving, because it only uses your Web servers log instead of JS or Cookies to track people on your Website. Meaning the only Data You get is the Data that is required to be sent to your server anyway, like the IP Address, User-Agent and what Content you requested on the Server. No Fingerprinting and No Cookies.

Which helps to monitor which nasty Crawlers that are indexing my Website and What they request, same goes for Attacker to see from where they are Approximately from to then Dynamically be able to block them.

I know of a couple of software that I use to save my passwords and files on my web server. Having it hosted on a web server like this means I have full control over them, and can access them from anywhere on any device.

The first one is called XBackBone. It is a simple file manager with full ShareX support and more. The nice thing about it is that is has web a UI with multi user management, media gallery and search support; with support for uploading any kind of file. I use it to host my files without relying on google drive or the like.

The second one is VaultWarden which is a clone of BitWarden and is an alternative server implementation of the Bitwarden Client. I use VaultWarden as a password manager for passwords and passkeys at home or at work or basically anywhere, and is compatible with existing BitWarden clients. Perfect for self-hosting

And this does not really count, but the last thing I did was create an email server for myself with dovecot (an email server like exchange) with postfix (mail transfer agent). Not much to say there except you wont believe how hard that actually was to set up

I's also it as my Password Manager after switching from KeePass, its Feature set is truly Impressiv. The only issue I have is the missing support for PAM Authentication on Linux. (Using the OS Auth for Fingerprint and co) but thats a minor Issue.

I used to do it entirly manually with dovecot and postfix plus some extra tools. But had some Issues and switch over to using Modaboa. Which in the end of the day is just an Install script for Dovacot and Postfix, and some custom Interfaces. But made it easire to Administrate and Secure :D
