Self-hosting

Hello! I'm curious about everyone's experience with hosting web-stuffs. I've messed around with hosting a
Flarum forum, mainly for
sharing custom levels for my games, and just yesterday I set up a
Memos which is effectively like a private Twitter feed for taking notes in. For Memos I was originally searching for a service to do it for me since I don't like trying to access my icloud notes on desktop and I really like the format of quick, unconnected posts for taking notes, but I ended up just hosting it on Digitalocean in the end.

I love self-hosting stuff. One of my longtime favorite Self Hosted apps is
Nextcloud a Google Workspace alternative, which my Family and I use for calendar and files, it makes it really easy for my family to share and store files internally.
Another group of tools I like is the
Servarr Family, ignoring the whole Sailing the High Sees Feature of them, they are really good at Organizing Music, Shows, and Movies for a Self hosted Streaming solution (in my case
Jellyfin). Which makes the huge music Library my Mother Digitized a decade ago finally manageable (its about 3000 songs).
But I rarely Host things Publicly. All my Self Hosted stuff usually resides in the Home Network or shared via Tailscale.
