Reject Convenience Forum

In a Reject Convenience video from last year, I learned about the data collection Grammarly has been doing. So I've just turned off that extension.

I'm in search of a replacement, and there are plenty of options, but I'm having difficulty discerning which one of them is legitimately privacy focused. I've been duped before: I was pretty sure Grammarly was privacy-focused at the time I installed it, ages ago. So I'm looking for recommendations, if you wouldn't mind

A tool for Spelling and Grammar Correction I use is LanguageTool. I can't say anything of their Subscription and Data Collection Practices for the Online Tool. On a Technical Scale they get everything you write, that's the Nature of the Tool. But I don't know what they do with that data. I know they share Data with Third parties, including usage Data, but I do not know to what extent.

But they do offer an easily Hostable solution that is perfect for me. It also detects a change in Language for the Multi Lingual here, but that is a bit Buggy at times, especially when you switch Language often in the same Document. So with a bit of Technical know how you can get it up and running on your local Machine/Network. And as far as I am aware It doesn't send your Data back to them.
