Some ways to protect yourself from this one:
- Freeze your credit
- Change and randomize your passwords
- Consider email aliases

It got even worse, all that data was released in the dark web for free, which is so much worse. My new advice:
OH MY GOD PLEASE FREEZE YOUR CREDIT

Just froze my credit with all 3. I am letting everyone know.

I think this should be considered a server reset, and everyone should start over with their debts set to 0. Just sayin
