"Between 2009 and 2012, iPhones had a built-in "Send to YouTube" button in the Photos app. Many of these uploads kept their default IMG_XXXX filenames, creating a time capsule of raw, unedited moments from random lives."

Someone made a bot that crawled youtube and to find all of these videos, and made a website that plays them in a random order. It's an incredibly surreal experience.

Oh man, now this is the internet I'm fond of. I remember when most of my Youtube home page was homemade videos like these. This feels like watching a small snippet of someone's life, videos of their pets, their walks to the park, a random shot of someone's living room TV... It feels... real, like actually real, that's what most of our lives look like, and it's all encapsulated in short 1-2 minute videos.

I know, right? It’s just so fascinating, nostalgic, sweet to see these often insignificant moments of others’ lives that feels so real and authentic. I also love how there’s a views counter that’s frequently in the single or double digits. Nearly forgotten media, indeed!
