Tangara is a portable music player. It’s also 100% open hardware running open-source software, which makes it easy to customize, repair, and upgrade. Tangara plays what you want to hear, however you want to hear it.

I'm super excited for when this starts shipping! I might ask my parents to purchase one in the future. Because it's easily extensible, I hope that someone creates a script or application to save listening history as scrobbles to be sent to track listening trackers like Last.fm, ListenBrainz, and Maloja. (Learned about the latter from Multi-scrobbler self-hosted webapp)
I had watched a ton of videos on iPods, their modding, and separating elements of a phone into distinct parts, so seeing a good option for a modern physical music player is wonderful!

I literally had this idea!!! Though, I want a actually moving wheel. I wish I had money to make some of my ideas sometimes lol. I love this and I want it.
