I found Reject Convenience in the comments of Nomad's video "Why Being A Small YouTuber is Impossible"! (linked comment)
Crazy that I spotted that while reading the comments on a TV. (Using the app SmartTube!)alt text: Oh man that flatline feeling when a video picks up steam super fast and then just dies... that feeling is brutal. I have a video that I put a TON of research into and it was my #1 and I was like awww yeah and then at 3k, it dropped to 1 view per 48 hours. I've had several videos do that, and my most recent one I was fully prepared for it to flatline at 3k views, tops... and then.. it didn't stop. I don't know why. I don't feel like I did anything differently, but YouTube was like "hey yeah this one will go". It's a wacky system and I very much cannot imagine trying to make this a full time job given how random it all feels.
