Nice and funny things that happened to you today

Did something cool, neat, nice, or funny happen to you today (or yesterday)? Thought I’d make a thread where we share!

I work in a law firm, and I’m in our secure (locked) mailroom, just getting our mail ready to be sent out… One of our firm’s leading attorneys, a very old, loud man, who has no business in the mailroom (all modern machinery intimidates him and it’s hard enough to get him to use his email), bursts in, brusquely marches up to me, and barks, “Want a doughnut take a doughnut just one.” (I take one.) “Sally should get a doughnut take a doughnut just one.” (I take another one.) And I’m practically forced out of the mailroom in the middle of getting our correspondences ready, just to bring a chocolate doughnut back to my supervisor, lol… I was having a bad day at work that day yesterday, so it was really nice being given a doughnut and err, transporting a doughnut to my supervisor. That attorney isn’t the most personable man, but he does care and try to be nice, and he frequently brings doughnuts, cookies, cupcakes, or chocolates to the office for everyone. It’s his way of making up for his loud, shouty voice.

This happened yesterday, but I have a ton of music on my iPod (upwards of 15k songs), but I haven't heard all of them. Back in high school, when people would ask me to repair their iPods, I would make backups of the drives just in case I screwed something up, and a side effect of that was a massive collection of music I would have not normally been exposed to (I know this is sort of piracy, but whatever, this was over a decade ago and I was a kid). I don't know why but I kept those files around this whole time, even when I switched to Spotify in 2016, they just kinda sat in the background for a while, and when I picked the iPod thing back up again in 2021, I realized I had a bit of a head start to my tunage. Of course, I've added quite a bit since then with new music I have paid for and such, so it got to be a pretty big library of music.

So, a couple times a month, I'll just play everything on shuffle (I have it set to shuffle by album, so I get the whole experience of a random artists intent), and yesterday, I was greeted by Troy and Gabriella from High School Musical 2. Gotta get your head in the game and bet on it and I was just thrown back a million years. I remember being so annoyed at my sister for days on end because she'd play the music on repeat.

The funny part?

It kinda slaps now.
