I'm a user from Ukraine. I saw the forum author's channel a couple of days ago, and I really liked the 3D visuals of the videos, as well as the topics he discusses. I bow down to such research for each topic, it was interesting to watch.
Why am I here? Well, it seemed to me that the comfortable corners of the internet where I used to communicate had died out as a species and been replaced by social media. No one updates those apps and websites anymore, and it makes me sad to look at their online statistics.
But I think this forum is worth a try. Besides, I'm trying to live a more analog life and not look at my phone so often, and it seems like a lot of people here are doing the same.

Welcome to the Forum,
happy to have you!
I get that, social media has been a scourge that has knocked out almost every Online Community space and took it over. Just the allure of everything being Free and in one place was just to much
.
But welcome and I hope you enjoy your stay.

Welcome!
I'm a bit too young to remember what the old internet might have been like, but I get the impression it's still kicking, just harder to find. People are still creating their own websites, and there's still active forums.
I'm trying to be on my phone less, too. I find myself engaging with things more deeply when I'm looking at them through the Big Computer Screen, sitting at my desk, rather than rotting away on my bed and holding my phone way too close to my face. Reducing screen time as a whole would likely be even better, but you can't make drastic lifestyle changes like that out from the jump.
Let's work towards our goals together!
