I came here looking to see if anyone else was talking about this. The whole "we're not saying we're selling your data now, we're just no longer specifically saying that we're NOT selling your data" bit is pretty crazy. Even if it's purely for legal reasons (which I can't help but doubt given the direction and momentum the world has been going recently), it's just uuuuugggghhhh.

I've dinked around with Librewolf in the past and it seems pretty good. Right now I'm on Zen Browser purely to try something that feels a little new, and it's a lot of fun.

I am glad I switched to Librewolf before this happened. I think I will now switch to chromite on my phone though.

Yeah the statement of removing the Selling is just stupid, they're explanation with CCPA Law, is just we dont consider that Exchange of Monetary value is selling. Which it totally is in my opinion.

At least we got some change from the Community revolting, and lets hope that the uproar doesn't subside so we can successfully revert all does stupid Changes from Mozilla.

I want to believe that Mozilla has the Best Intentions, and just a stupid leadership. But it is getting harder to belive that day by day.

Also something I forgot to Mentioned in my initial Post, they're Acceptable Use Policy. Guys and Gals and Non-Binary Pals, you can't watch your P***n or Violent anything (Movies, TV, etc...) on Firefox Anymore. It's just not acceptable. What a Joke of a Policy. How are you even going to Enforce it.

Totally with you there, there's no way to enforce that policy unless you go against the very thing you stand for, which is the privacy :/
I can understand why they'd do it in a way? But it's as useful as a cardboard cutout.

My Biggest Issue with Firefox's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy are that It doesn't Need it, It didn't need it for the last 20 Years. It doesn't need it now.

Firefox is not a Service, it's not a thing which Runs on Mozilla's servers or requires a certain connection to an online Service. It's a Browser, a simple Program. It doesn't need to share any Data to them.
What makes Firefox Private, is not that they don't collect Data, as Chromium doesn't do that either, but that they Implement tooling that prevent Websites to collect too much data.

There is no reason to have a ToU and/or a Privacy Policy, as there is nothing that should be sent to Mozilla. There is currently nothing that is being sent to Mozilla that warrants a Privacy Policy or ToU.
