I have been doing digital and film photography for a couple of years now and posting it to my Neocities site. I hope you like it.

I need to go through my 2000+ pictures and learn how to edit them. Do you do any edits to your pictures?

Do you do any edits to your pictures?

Yes I do, though these days I try to keep my edits simple. Very easy to overdo it and ruin a good photo.

I use RawTherapee as my editing software. Normally the extent of my edits is a little bit of exposure correction and a film simulation using HaldCLUT (which is built into RawTherapee, but you'll need to track down some files to make it useful). Sometimes I'll also use graduated/vignette filters to keep a bright sky from distracting from the subject.

For film photos, I normally don't do any editing at all, but I did recently learn a trick using RGB tone curves to get rid of the colored haze you sometimes get from the lab scans. I will sometimes leave the haze in if I think it adds to the feel of the image, but sometimes (especially with films like Lomochrome Metropolis) the haze ruins the effect of the film so I'll fix that up and then leave it alone.
