Some ways to protect yourself from this one:
  • Freeze your credit
  • Change and randomize your passwords
  • Consider email aliases

It got even worse, all that data was released in the dark web for free, which is so much worse. My new advice:

OH MY GOD PLEASE FREEZE YOUR CREDIT

I think this should be considered a server reset, and everyone should start over with their debts set to 0. Just sayin :lol:
