I was going over the rules and I noticed that discussions surrounding piracy are not allowed and this perplexed me since piracy is always a great way to undermine big companies and promote competition. I generally see piracy as a good thing unless it is used to not pay deserving people (indie, not evil companies, etc) unless you can't afford it.
This leads into my question why are we against piracy? Also is this the right place for this post?
If there is any confusion please ask me to clarify. Have a good life to those reading this, and always remember cars are death machines.

Re: Piracy.
I'm going to hazard a guess that it's because it's illegal and risks getting the forum shut down by authorities.
Also, I think this post belongs in the "Feedback" subforum with the other meta posts.

Re: Piracy.
It's a very fair question!
While I personally am an advocate of piracy, because of the nature of this forum being public facing (and because of the rules of my hosting provider), I do have to draw a line on sharing that kind of stuff. If you want to share information about how to use torrent software to download your favorite linux distro, that's obviously fine. My ask is that you keep the discussions legal in regards to piracy. Just like @zonk's point said, I don't want to risk this really cool community getting taken down. There has been a clear ramp in crackdowns on small communities like this, so let's just play it safe.
Interestingly, this is a discussion for a future video, but I don't want to reveal too much on that front while it's still in the early phases of "idea". But yeah, thanks for asking, I think it's important to challenge these ideas and get clarification where needed!

Thank you for clarifying zonk and Reject Convenience. Furthermore I am interested to see how you tackle piracy in your videos if you decide to do so. Have a good life both of you, and always remember, electric cars are not a solution but rather a band-aid the true solution is to move away from car centric societies.rejectconvenience wrote: Sat Jul 19, 2025 5:09 pm It's a very fair question!
