I read a really thoughtful article this morning interviewing the current president of Signal, Meredith Whittaker. The interview covers her history and how she came stand for privacy as well as how her work at Signal is truly to invent a nonprofit model for an alternative tech industry that doesn't rely on data brokering and surveillance. Bumping for more visibility - this is seriously a great read. It actually helped fill the final puzzle piece for the Discord/forum video I've been wanting to make for a while, so I'm working on that script now.
